Can i change the AC climate control in my 2000 4runner from digital to turn style?
I have a 2000 4runner SR5 Limited with digital climate controls that only work half the time ;] Is it possible to swap these controls out and replace it with the turn style from the same year make and model as my SUV.
If not does anyone know where to get the digital style controls i cant seem to hunt them down?
Thanks

You can do anything you want as long as you are willing to spend the time and the money to do so. If you are mechanically inclined enough to do the task, you can save yourself a ton of money, but you are still looking at the very least 700 to 1000 dollars to change it out. if you where to have a shop do it, and you where to bring them the parts, you would still be looking over 800 in labor. In most cases it’s just not worth it. If you are having a problem with the controls. the dealer should have them in stock or at the very least, run an analyzer on it to see what the problem may be. It is possible the control module for it may just need a reprogram or firmware update. It is done all the time and often only runs about 90 dollars to complete.

sure u can but i believe u will have to swap the actual actuators as well so basically pull the entire dash apart down to the heater core and rebuild…so not worth the trouble….
as for hunting down replacement parts u can always try the dealer……..and junkyards…..or online salvage hunters……good luck
