Do you want to consider risk of damage or injury?

Author: jahir

Life is the most important for any human being. Without life we are valueless. But a single accident can change everything which can be occurred by dangerous & drink driving. This is arguably the most serious charge in the road traffic calendar and there are many complex issues that the Crown need to prove, which, if they succeed will inevitably result in a long custodial sentence coupled with a lengthy period of disqualification for a death by  dangerous   driving  charge. The maximum prison sentence has in fact recently been increased to fourteen years. If you face such an allegation it is imperative that you receive expert advice at the very earliest stages in the investigation.  You can not afford to gamble with the ensuing consequences if you do not.   The  drink   driving  legislation is involved and complex and under no circumstance should you consider representing yourself without obtaining expert legal  advice . The many arguments invariably will be technical in nature and will have nothing to do with the fact that you were driving in excess of the prescribed limit.    Under government proposals, one important  advice on drink driving  to decrease the drink drive limit to the equivalent of half a pint of  beer.   Ministers are looking at whether to lower the legal limit from 80mg to 50mg of alcohol per 100ml of blood, in line with European standards. It would be roughly the equivalent to a half pint of strong beer or one 175ml glass of standard wine – depending on body size and other factors. The government will hold a consultation on drink-drive laws later this year.   Senior police officers warned that more people aged 17 to 24 were drink &  dangerous driving  and having accidents. Britain has one of the highest permissible blood alcohol limit levels in Europe and research by University College London has suggested that reducing it to 50mg would save 65 lives a year. The 50mg limit was also backed by the Scottish National Party at its conference last year and has been supported by the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs. Ministers have previously said they favored education and tough penalties to dissuade drink drivers.

1950’s Chevrolet Cars versus the 1950’s Ford Cars

Author: Julie Gibbson

The cars from the 1950s were truly style icons.  From the shapes to the engineering, General Motors and Ford crafted innovative designs that are still admired by many.  Attend any classic car show and you will see many models from the 1950s.  There is something special about these vehicles.    Rivals as American carmakers    Ford and General Motors each had the goal of determining what American consumers wanted in vehicles and trying to be the first company to deliver that product.  The philosophy of “I can make that better” became commonplace among carmakers.  The American consumer benefited from the intense competition between the two automobile giants.  Pricing was affordable while style was high.  Chevrolet Cars Pictures along with their Ford counterparts were seen in print ads in newspapers and magazines.    Chevrolet Bel Air       In 1950, 74,634 Bel Airs were sold and Chevrolet regained its position over Ford as market leader.      Ford’s response to Bel Air:  Crown Victoria    The following year Ford unveiled the Custom Victoria.  It outsold the Bel Air in 1951 by 7,000 units.  The engineering of the Custom Victoria include an innovative pillarless superstructure.  Ford car pics of this model show superbly clean lines.  This combined with a posh interior and good performance with a flathead V-8 propelled this model to eclipse the Chevrolet Bel Air.    Ford’s Ranchero    Ford beat Chevrolet in the rollout of the Ranchero model.  Considered a “crossover”, the Ranchero appealed equally to car and truck drivers. It displayed utility features while offering comfort ability.  Old Ford Car Pictures of the Ranchero was a two-door wagon with the rear section of the roof taken off and a bedliner placed in the floor plan.    Chevy’s reaction:  El Camino    GM’s counterpart to Ford’s Ranchero was the El Camino.  Among Vintage Chevrolet cars, the El Camino is very unique in appearance.  Using an integrated pickup box, a sedan was morphed into a pickup.

Benz Star2009

Author: Jose Hudson

The company has shown itself to be one of the world’s top manufacturer’s quality and high-end cars. Many companies have attempted, but only Mercedes-Benz has been able to touch all the bases and exceed expectations in luxury cars, buses, vans, trucks, and SUV’s, along with the major involvement with motor car racing.     In the 1880’s Mercedes-Benz was originated by two men: Karl Benz and Gottlieb Daimler. The internal combustion engine powered vehicle was their greatest invention. One of the most ironic things about Mercedes-Benz is that the two originators never even knew each other, but their work was directly related. They both lived in Southwest Germany.  One of Daimler friends: Wilhelm Maybach took a major role in the invention of the four-stroke engine in Cannstatt, which is an area in Stuttgart. They would never know in the near future, they would both make a luxury car. Karl Benz on the other hand worked at   a place by Heidelberg, known as Mannheim. Believe it or not, the two men never met in history.   A decade later, Daimler was building his cars in Unterturkheim. They were built to last and to go fast, which resulted in many successful races under his company’s name. The sucsess was at such a great feat that an Austrian dealer by the name of Emil Jellinek entered the cars in the races and expected to win without a doubt in mind. He decided to name the cars after his daughter whose name was Mercedes. He was very impressed with the work of Daimler and Maybach that he decided to make a large manufacturing demand from the two. The only stipulations were that he would decide on some design modifications that needed to be done, and that the cars were to be named after his daughter Mercedes. He also demanded that he would get the full resell rights to the countries: Austria, Hungary, France, Belgium and the United States. He His belief and faith was so strong in the car and the makers that his major assets were in this company.    A symbol was chosen for the combined products of DMG and Benz. The new insignia was a three-pointed star wreathed with laurel. The word “Mercedes” was at the top and the word “Benz” was at the bottom.   Then merger did the new company well. Production of Mercedes-Benz rose to 7,918 Mercedes-Benz automobiles in 1927. The Mercedes-Benz diesel truck was put into production in 1927, also.      The 770 Grosser was powered by an 8 cylinder, 7.6 liter engine. Mercedes-Benz’s biggest and most prestigious car to date was launched in 1930.  A car for the truly wealthy of the world, it was quite an automobile for showing off in a world economy still reeling from the Wall Street Crash of 1929.The cars of the 1930s produced great racing success for Mercedes-Benz. The silver metal bodywork gave rise to the name Silver Arrows when the W25 racer (of Rudolph Caracciola fame) had the white paint removed to lower its weight. Mercedez-Benz is the cream of the crop in luxury automobile manufacturing.

BMW GT1 OPS

Author: Jose Hudson

The origins of BMW go back to 1913 when Karl Friedrich Rapp, a Bavarian man who had been a well-known engineer in a German aircraft company for a long time, formed Rapp Motoren Werke in a suburb of Munich. The company mainly focused in airplane engines however Rapp found that they were inefficent and suffered from high extents of vibration. Another man, Gustav Otto, also an airplane specialist, opened his own shop, Gustav Flugmaschinefabrik, building small aircraft.   Because of the bad engine problems, Rapp Motoren Werke signed a contract with Austro-Daimler, who wasn’t able to meet its demands, to build V12 Aero engines under license. The company expanded very fast, however, and by 1916 Rapp resigned from the company because of financial problems. In his shoes, Franz Josef Popp and Max Friz, two Austrians, took over the company. In March that same year, Rapp Motoren Werke merged with Gustav Flugmaschinefabrik to form Bayersiche Flugzeungwerke. It was shortly after, renamed Bayersiche Motoren Werke (Bavarian Motor Works), or BMW, forming the company we know today.   BMW’s success was unfortunately short lived. After the Second World War, the company had failed. Its factories had been destroyed or dismantled and a three-year ban on any production activities was imposed by the Allies in response to the production of aircraft engines and rockets by BMW during the War. The first post war model, the V8 equipped 501 luxury sedan produced in 1951 was a poor production choice for a country that was also devastated by the war. Demand was low and the 501 did not even com e close to meeting BMW’s expectations.   In 1990 BMW re-entered the aircraft engine manufacturing business after forming BMW Rolls-Royce GmbH jointly with Rolls Royce. In 1998, after extended talks concerning the sale of Rolls Royce, BMW officially bought the rights to the Rolls Royce name and logo from Volkswagen, with the transition expected to take place in 2003. 1994 brought about another purchase, as BMW acquired the Rover Group PLC. After heavy losses, the company was finally sold in 2000, with Rover being split up from Land Rover which was purchased by Ford. BMW held the rights to the new Mini and the hot-hatch goes on sale in early 2002.    Today, the Z3, Z8 and all of the 3, 5, 7 and Motorsport series models continue the BMW tradition of building excellent automobiles with a special emphasis on performance, style and technological advancements. 1992 was another year-to-be-remembered for BMW when it, for the first time, outsold Mercedes in Europe. Hopefully in the future the rivalry between these and other makes will persist and companies such as BMW will continue to build great cars.
