How do I get my New Motorcycle from the dealership to home?
So i am new to riding. I took the MSF course and also got my license this past weekend. I will be going to the dealership to purchase a new/used bike.
But I am not yet comfortable taking to the streets in the new bike and I do not think i can drive the newly purchased bike back home. Unfortunately I do not have rider friends so I do not have an option. Do dealerships provide hauling or delivery services? How do new riders get the bike from the seller to their garages?

You can ask for delivery to your home if you’re a little nervous about riding it away from the dealership. There may be a small charge, but that is usually waived if you live close-by or give the ‘rider’ a ride back to the shop.
Stay in your comfort zone for as long as it takes to feel at ease with your machine, just sitting on it in your garage is a good thing.
I don’t want you to be a stat (especially a flat stat) and you will love riding only if you are comfortable WITH a knowledge of your new bike.

Yes, if you buy a new bike, most dealerships will deliver the unit to your house free of charge, or for a small delivery fee.

Sorry not sure if you’re UK or US.
I’m uk, and all my bikes I’ve had delivered to my home. It’s been free of charge as well but I lived within less than 10 miles of the dealerships I’ve used.
Ask before you buy, give the impression the sale depends on if they can deliver. I’m sure in this economic climate no dealership would pass up business!
Wise move getting it to your home, then you can get familier with it and take it out on roads you know.
Hope you enjoy many year of biking. Keep safe.

new rider that is not confident riding bike on the road??
so why would you buy a new bike to throw down it…??
buy a cheap second hand 250cc bike & ride that for a year… then trade up to a new bike..
better to throw a cheapy down the road a few times than the nice new one…

give the dealer an ultimatum. I don’t think there will be a problem
