Let pick a day to park our car to bring the gas price down. Care to join?
NOT ONLY I LIKE THE ANSWER BELOW RELATING TO GAS PRICE. I THINK WE SHOULD BRING IT TO ACTION. ANYONE CARE TO JOIN IN?
All that needs to be done is everybody parks their cars for one day. The world could just STOP for one day the Gas prices would go down instantly. The Gas and oil companies would loose billions in just one day. They would have no choice but to bring the price down. If we don’t do something soon we will never gain control over this situation. Isn’t it funny how since Bush has been in power this problem has gotten out of contr9ol. Did you know that the Bush family made most of their money from oil?

I agree check this out.. maybe this would work.. Maybe you can help spread this.. =)
GAS WAR – an idea that WILL work
This was originally sent by a retired Coca Cola executive. It came
from one of his engineer buddies who retired from Halliburton. It ‘ s worth
your consideration.
Join the resistance!!!! I hear we are going to hit close to $4.00 a
gallon by next summer and it might go higher!! Want gasoline prices to come
down? We need to take some intelligent, united action. Phillip Hollsworth
offered this good idea.
This makes MUCH MORE SENSE than the "don’t buy gas on a certain day"
campaign that was going around last April or May! The oil companies
just laughed at that because they knew we wouldn’t continue to "hurt"
ourselves by refusing to buy gas. It was more of an inconvenience to us than it
was a problem for them. BUT, whoever thought of this idea, has come up with a plan that can really work. Please read on and join with us! By now y ou’re probably
thinking gasoline priced at about $1.50 is super cheap. Me too! It is
currently $2.79 for regular unleaded in my town. Now that the oil companies and
the OPEC nations have conditioned us to think that the cost of a gallon of
gas is CHEAP at $1.50 – $1.75, we need to take aggressive action to teach
them that BUYERS control the marketplace….. not sellers. With the price of gasoline going up more each day, we consumers need to take action. The only way we are going to see the price of gas come down is if we hit someone in the pocketbook by not
purchasing their gas! And, we can do that WITHOUT hurting SPAN>ourselves. How? Since we all rely on our cars, we can’t just stop buying gas. But we CAN have an impact on gas prices if we all act together to force a price war.
Here’s the idea:
For the rest of this year, DON’T purchase ANY gasoline from the two
biggest companies (which now are one), EXXON and MOBIL. If they are not
selling any gas, they will be inclined to reduce their prices. If they reduce
their prices, the other companies will have to follow suit.
But to have an impact, we need to reach literally millions of Exxon
and Mobil gas buyers. It’s really simple to do! Now, don’t wimp out at
this point…. keep rea ding and I’ll explain how simple it is to reach
millions of people. I am sending this note to 30 people. If each of us sends it to at
least ten more (30 x 10 =3D 300) … and those 300 send it to at least ten more
(300 x 10 =3D 3,000)…and so on, by the time the message reaches the sixth
group of people, we will have reached over THREE MILLION consumers. If
those three million get excited and pass this on to ten friends each, then 30 million people will have been contacted! If it goes one level further, you guessed it….. THREE
> >>>>HUNDRED MILLION >>>>PEOPLE!!!
Again, all you have to do is send this to 10 people. That’s all. (If
you don’t understand how we can reach 300 million and all you have to do
is send this to 10 people…. Well, let’s face it, you just aren’t a mathematician. But I am, so trust me on this one. How long would all that take? If each of us sends this e-mail out to ten more people within one day of receipt, all 300 MILLION people could
conceivably be contacted within the next 8 days!!! I’ll bet you didn’t think you and I had that much potential, did you? Acting together we can make a difference. If this makes sense to you, please pass this message < /SPAN>on. I suggest that we not buy from EXXON/MOBIL UNTIL THEY LOWER THEIR PRICES TO THE $1.30 RANGE AND KEEP THEM DOWN. THIS CAN REALLY WORK.

That won’t bring gas prices down..
Most of our oil comes from the middle east.. THEY control the price of our gas because THEY control what they sell to the USA and what price to sell it at.

Count me in

dont boycott on a single day. Everyone is boycotting Exxon Mobile. if we never use that company then they will drop prices, if they drop the rest will drop to stay competative.

I do not have a car.

Park your car forever and walk or carpool or even ride a bicycle. ANY thing to bring down your costs for transpotation.

Thaat wont bring the prices down! Its a nice tatctic but it wont work!
If I sell bread for a dolllar, and no one buys,…
i cant drop the price and expect to get people to buy
i will raise my price so i dont have bread go to waste!

It doesn’t work. Your lack of use would need to be sustained over a long period of time and you can’t do that. Only governments can fix this problem.

Are you kidding? I parked my car 2 WEEKS ago. I refuse to drive until the price comes back down. I’ve been riding a Honda 50cc scooter. $3.00 in gas lasts almost a week.

Are you serious?? with current gas prices in the states you should be brought into line with the rest of the world – Six bucks a gallon!!! Luv from the UK.
cn_mashimaro on June 22, 2010 at 7:03 pm
good choice. I think what we have to do is stop our car and stop using the oil ^^

Have u ever realised, that the prices of gas is just not only related to the usage but also to the resources…!!
Well I appriciate ur wonderful idea but u know that this is not really gonna helb but instead wat we could do is…
try to save gas as much as possible…may be in various ways…and we are responsible to figure that out..and how..!!
prices will just keep hiking no matter what u do..but its just the saving on the wastage of these natural resources..
So I’m with u buddy but not in parking the car for one day but in saving as much gas as I can instead of wasting it…

you could get a http://www.greasecar.com and run on vegetable oil and get over 50+ mpg and then people behind you get to smell french fries and everyone is happy and then inturn you could sell the rights to your car to mc d’s for making people think about mc d’s french fries slap a few mc d logos on it and drive around making money and saving money and you will be rich :)
