What is the diagnosis procedure to determine an engine internal water leak?
I think my pickup has an internal water leak, it is dripping lots of water out of the tail pipe, is that consistent with an internal leak?
It’s a 2001 F-150 5.4 / 4×4, It’s dualed out and leaks more water on the driver side?
I checked the oil level last night and no signs of water in it. If it is an internal leak the water would be getting in the combustion chamber right?
I seem to be getting the same gas mileage.

i highly doubt its an internal coolant leak, its most likely water condensation. some vehicles produce more than others. you can check for a leak by doing a leakdown test, check your oil to see if it is milky which means coolant may be mixed in it, or another telltale sign of a water leak is ALOT of white smoke coming from the muffler .

Is it cold and humid outside?
It could just be condensation in the exhaust system.
What truck??

WELL it helps you got the only pick-up on earth YEAR MAKE MODEL HELPS ???? so all cars drip condisation water from the exaust from just sitting and if its cold or freezing where you are you could not see blown nead gaskets puffing smoke and oil in the air so when the vech is cold check the oil ? what do you see in color it should be black or amber as to water it will mix w/ the oil and will turn grey like white and look at your level in the raditator if its low and as well as murky when you fill it you got probs too be 100 % pull the plugs and they will show you so theres a start

most likely water condensation in your exhaust system. but to answer your Original question [ what is the procedure] it is usually determined by pressure testing the cooling system. leak detector dye is only use full for external leak,s. if your concerned about an internal leak have it pressure tested at a radiator/ cooling system repair shop. good luck!
