Whatever floats your boat man. I have a ’73 Mach 1 with a 351 Cleveland 4 bolt. Thing is, I’d hate to have it as my daily driver, those old muscle cars suck ass in the rain and snow. I guess they also suck in any kind of corners too. ;)
Or, you could get a 2000-2003 VW TDI and trick it out so it blows the doors off of any old man hot rod. Easy to do, cheap, super high mileage, and not a rolling coffin. Just a thought. Check dubdubdub.forums.tdiclub.c0m Some super cool stuff.

351 cleveland sounds fun. The car i’m looking at is a lil more fuel efficent then yours but I’m 17 and still in highschool so they prolly would get the same gas mileage.
O and I don’t have the money to get a jeta or w’e its called my price range is 2500 not more then that…

these are so dumb it’s cheaper and better for your car to just use biodiesel. the glycerin in the oil will create so many deposits in your engine. Just process your oil into biodiesle and you don’t have to put all that dumb expensive crap in your car. greater complexity=greater risk of a malfunction.

SVO: Pay the price once to convert your car, never pay for fuel again.
Biodiesel: you have to buy the methanol and lye to process every gallon of fuel you’re going to burn. Not to mention ALOT more time to process the oil.
SVO: Filter the oil and you’re done.
Biodiesel: Filter the oil, then go through the process of transesterification, no thanks…

If car production accounts for 30% carbon footprint of average car then using an old gas guzzler may actually pollute less in total!
I mean a jap car that lasts about 5 minutes and in japan they pollute more from factories so u r in fact an environmentalist, polluting less than prius with fancy chemicals that r also hard to dispose of!
Sorry, but u will have to think of urself as a tree hugger even though u do 15mpg! lol.
Funny no?
New cars use to much electronics also, malfunctions pollute!
Murphdawg10 on March 8, 2009 at 10:30 pm
Yea I hear yea, My car gets 22 on average and gets 27 on its best but its not even close to new or fansy like a prius, its just a 1995 V6 mustang

Rudolf Diesel originally designed the diesel engine to use coal dust, NOT PEANUT OIL.
Delticola on April 14, 2009 at 6:06 pm
What is your source for this information? I would easily believe that he designed an engine for coal dust, but I do not believe that if it is true that it is the same combustion engine as one that runs on vegetable oil/ petrolium diesel. So if you could, please provide me your source, I’d like to see what you’re talking about. Thanks.

Barack Obama would have you believe Muslims made the Diesel engine

His source is Ramone from the corner. Ramone is a street phamacist aka drug dealer. BIGTAZ351 is a drug addict

I visisted that Pharmacist this afternoon and he told me that old Rudolf’s other design in an engine was for coal dust. The two flippen idea’s would’nt even be for the same engine. The difference is like the night and like the day. They’re both engines, they’re both parts in a day. That’s the extent of it. Coal dust and compression don’t mix in my world.

You “visited a street pharmacist? Let me guess, on the street right?

Vegetable oil is awesome, got some experience myself. Maybe about 10,000 miles so far. Drove 700 this weekend. WARNING> Change your engine oil more frequently ! Especially in a VW, some call for 10,000 mile oil changes…….not with veg oil. Change your engine oil 3000 miles or less or you will be screwing up your valves, friend of mine fryed his Passat Engine not having changed his oil more frequently then requested. Also, use a little marvel mystery oil in your motor oil to clean.
Raith83 on August 21, 2009 at 2:27 pm
Rudolf Diesel’s was interested in using coal dust OR vegetable oil and ended up using peanut oil for his engine.
michaelovitch on October 14, 2009 at 2:47 pm
coal dust first and vegetables oil after because the coal was abrasive and very dirty ( lot of residus in the combustion chamber)
UTubeGlennAR on December 9, 2009 at 10:07 am
Suggest U consider not filling your diesel tank. Your car will do lots less foot pounds of work – thus better overall fuel mileage if you just add 2-3 gallons of diesel for start up and purge rather than carrying 10 gallons of non needed diesel fuel all the time…..
m33lad on January 30, 2010 at 10:26 am
Thats wonderful!! omg why they don’t make everyone do this?
Can I do this to a normal gasoline car? oh man I’d to do this!!
VooDooXII on January 31, 2010 at 6:16 pm
Does it give the same mileage while running on the vegetable oil? My dad has a 2005 Golf TDI…same engine I believe. Car & Driver just did an article on how to convert a diesel engine to a veggie oil burner…seemed pretty simple actually. Nice work!

Chumkil on February 21, 2010 at 8:39 pm
This only works in a diesel vehicle.
MrRolling100 on March 12, 2010 at 12:59 pm
@m33lad No you need a diesel. But remember when it breaks its costly.
