The accelerating ability takes some getting used to as there won’t be a vehicle in town that will take you off the line at stop lights. This is no slow golf cart you will be building here. Your electric truck will run at 50 mph that is similar with other type of trucks. Your truck will be a range of 200 miles. So you can use it for long distance. There are two main parts in an electric truck. One is a DC motor another batteries. You have to choose a large (11 inch or more) DC motor for your electric truck. This will allow you to carry more weight to more distance. You also have to collect (20 or more) deep cycle batteries for your electric truck. This will help you to go long range driving. You can collect the DC motor and the batteries for free from outlined sources. This will help you to save money from buying those equipments. That makes the conversion worthy. For your current vehicle you need a lot of money to repair and for fuel. But you need no fuel for your electric vehicle and the repair cost is so low. You can even convert your existing vehicle as electric by the money which you use to repair your existing vehicle. You will be known that next year the gas will increase unto $7 per gallon. So this is the time to do your own conversion. Simple breath tests can decrease Road accidents

If you drive at twice the current legal alcohol limit, you are at least 30 times more likely to cause a road crash than a driver who has not been drinking. Any amount of alcohol affects your ability to drive. There is no foolproof way of drinking and staying under the limit or of knowing how much an individual person can drink and still drive safely.   The police are required to follow several statutory procedures which can be fatal to a prosecution if not pursued correctly. Furthermore, even on a guilty plea there is enormous latitude in terms of the length of disqualification that a court can impose and it is therefore extremely important that the prosecution case is carefully considered before a plea is entered for a drink driving offence or charge. As an  advice on drink driving  a test has been suggested for drivers.   In an attempt by the government to reduce drink &  dangerous driving , drivers may face random breath tests. A Department for Transport road safety review said tougher enforcement is the best way of tackling the problem. The report said it would consult on the move during 2007 and also examine the level of the blood-alcohol limit.   Transport figures showed some “worrying trends” with 17% of road deaths taking place when the driver was over the limit. Despite a decline in drink-related deaths in 2005, there were still more that year than in 1998 and 1999.   Between 1994 and 1998, drink-related deaths fell while the number of tests rose. But from 1998 until 2003, the number of drink-drive fatalities went up as the number of tests fell.   To improve enforcement and to really crack down on drink-driving then maybe it is something we have got to do,” ITV1’s breakfast program GMTV.   The number of people caught drink-driving in England and Wales dropped in the recent festive period. In December, 145,867 drivers were tested and 9,658 – 6.6% – were over the limit, down from 6.9% in December 2005.   The number of breath tests carried out had increased by almost 10% during “the most productive drink-drive campaign to date”. The 9,658 drink-drivers breathalyzer and arrested will be brought to justice and could face disqualification, a fine or imprisonment as a result of their choice to drink and drive.   Acpo’s Christmas campaign was a joint initiative with the Department for Transport. These results demonstrate just how much importance both the government and police attach to the dangers of drink-driving. Some 12,494 drivers were tested for alcohol after collisions, with 915 failing or refusing the test.   However, it is just an example of  dangerous driving  & drink driver. This test is not only for western countries where drink driving is available, but also for all countries. Government has taken the initiative to  advice on drink driving  to protect & avoid the worst incident of accident.

Life is the most important for any human being. Without life we are valueless. But a single accident can change everything which can be occurred by dangerous & drink driving. Britain has one of the highest permissible blood alcohol limit levels in Europe and research by University College London has suggested that reducing it to 50mg would save 65 lives a year. The 50mg limit was also backed by the Scottish National Party at its conference last year and has been supported by the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs. Ministers have previously said they favored education and tough penalties to dissuade drink drivers.

An accident with a Tractor Trailers that carries heavy loads can be a disaster and may lead you and your passengers to miserable situations. The huge vehicle outweighs the average vehicle by many tons; your car may not be anything in front of it and hence has no chance to resist the force from the crashing truck.   Accidents are something that keeps happening everyday but still there are steps that you can take for safety of you and your family while traveling on roads and interstates.  Avoiding distracted driving and following few techniques link Defensive driving will help you keep away from potentially fatal crashes with tractor trailers which could help both of you to reach your destination safely, i.e., you are the truck driver. Defensive driving technique helps a driver to anticipate any dangerous situation even though the other person is bad in driving. It purely aims at reducing the risk of driving.  It is always essential to maintain a safe distance from other vehicles. Especially Tractor trailers being huge and gigantic cannot easily get through the traffic; hence it is essential to take utmost care when traveling near tractor trailers. Tractor trailers cannot be stopped suddenly like other vehicles due to their operational limitations.  For instance, a freight carrier traveling at a top speed of 65 MPH takes roughly double the distance before a complete halt than it does an average car. Driving by leaving a safe distance behind the huge vehicle in front of you might provide you the distance required to safely stop your vehicle which would avoid the ultimate way towards a critical accident which is inevitable.   What if the huge vehicle is behind you? In such a situation it is always better to allow adequate path for the truck to pass also be sure that you allow a considerable cushion space before you to ease a sudden stop if required.  Traveling right away behind or in front of a tractor trailer is something unsafe and a place where you should not find yourself is along the sides of trailers. Do not travel directly alongside of the huge vehicle because the truck driver may not know that you are there as their side mirrors cannot simply see you. This is called a blind spot, and truckers have a major gap in what they can see from their mirrors. So it is always better to confirm yourself that you do not roam around trailers. Cross them swiftly instead of floating in the trucker’s blind spot.  Next thing which is indeed important is how well you manage yourselves on the blind spots on the roads when you are just along with the trucks making a sudden turn.  And unfortunately if you’re driving to the right of the trailer when they are making a right turn, you may end up in a situation called “squeeze”. So make sure that you don’t drive along with the trailers anytime during any twists or turns on the roads, notably if they have their signal lights turned-on in the midst of the road.    Allow them the required space to complete a wide turn.

1950’s Chevrolet Cars versus the 1950’s Ford Cars

The cars from the 1950s were truly style icons.  From the shapes to the engineering, General Motors and Ford crafted innovative designs that are still admired by many.  Attend any classic car show and you will see many models from the 1950s.  There is something special about these vehicles.    Rivals as American carmakers    Ford and General Motors each had the goal of determining what American consumers wanted in vehicles and trying to be the first company to deliver that product.  The philosophy of “I can make that better” became commonplace among carmakers.  The American consumer benefited from the intense competition between the two automobile giants.  Pricing was affordable while style was high.  Chevrolet Cars Pictures along with their Ford counterparts were seen in print ads in newspapers and magazines.    Chevrolet Bel Air       In 1950, 74,634 Bel Airs were sold and Chevrolet regained its position over Ford as market leader.      Ford’s response to Bel Air:  Crown Victoria    The following year Ford unveiled the Custom Victoria.  It outsold the Bel Air in 1951 by 7,000 units.  The engineering of the Custom Victoria include an innovative pillarless superstructure.  Ford car pics of this model show superbly clean lines.  This combined with a posh interior and good performance with a flathead V-8 propelled this model to eclipse the Chevrolet Bel Air.    Ford’s Ranchero    Ford beat Chevrolet in the rollout of the Ranchero model.  Considered a “crossover”, the Ranchero appealed equally to car and truck drivers. It displayed utility features while offering comfort ability.  Old Ford Car Pictures of the Ranchero was a two-door wagon with the rear section of the roof taken off and a bedliner placed in the floor plan.    Chevy’s reaction:  El Camino    GM’s counterpart to Ford’s Ranchero was the El Camino.  Among Vintage Chevrolet cars, the El Camino is very unique in appearance.  Using an integrated pickup box, a sedan was morphed into a pickup.
