I gave my boyfriend one of my cars when I moved out of state and he has not goten it registered in his name so I have to carry insurance on it still and am liable for property tax owed etc. I need to know of a way to get it out of my name. South Carolina DMV says there is no way except to have him pay the tax and fees and get it registered. I can’t count on him to take care of this matter and need to get it changed ASAP!
